As a dual degree student with the Erb Institute for Sustainable Enterprise, Heidi has a passion for cultivating innovative business solutions to tackle market challenges in the global food system while generating positive impacts for communities and the environment. Prior to attending the University of Michigan, Heidi worked in international agricultural development in Washington DC and East Africa, where she designed communications strategies for organizations executing market-driven solutions to social and environmental challenges. Heidi aspires to work with food and retail companies to develop shared value approaches and sustainable sourcing methods to build a more inclusive food system. Heidi holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
