Jess is passionate about economic development and sustainable food systems. She is an advanced certified Volunteer Income Tax Preparer for VITA, a program that offers free tax preparation to low-income individuals and families, and volunteered weekly with the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA), a non-profit dedicated to cultivating a sustainable food system. Jess joined SVF to further explore the intersection of business and social impact, as she has seen how venture capital financing can help businesses grow.
Jess holds a B.S. in Business Administration for UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a minor in French. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and exploring national parks.
