Marissa is pursuing an MBA at Ross and an MPP at the Ford School of Public Policy.

Before graduate school, she spent two years as a high school English teacher in Baltimore with Teach for America. She then moved to Nashville to work for the Tennessee Governor's Office, covering projects and policies that cut across education, social services, and evidence-based budgeting. Her policy and business interests lie at the intersection of economic inclusion, workforce development, and social enterprise.

Marissa holds a Bachelor of Music in piano performance with a second major in public policy from Vanderbilt University.
