Tess is an MBA candidate at the Ross School of Business with a focus on social impact and strategy.
Prior to attending the University of Michigan, she taught special education in Chicago Public Schools as a Teach For America corps member and then taught third grade in an Achievement First elementary school in New York City. While teaching, Tess designed curriculum for Achievement First and worked as a marketing lead for the charter network's family advocacy committee. She is passionate about working at the crossroads of business and social impact to make long-term, systemic change in the areas of education and community development. Tess received her Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies and American Studies from Northwestern University.
