Zell Lurie Institute Launch & Learn: The Pros and Cons to Taking the Plunge: Life As a Full-time Founder After College

Tuesday, March 14, 2023 - 12:00pm
Zoom

College students feel increasingly empowered to forego the safety of traditional careers and instead carve their own path by founding startups, launching nonprofits, and more. But the decision to follow your dream or address an issue you care about (while somehow paying the bills) is never easy. Hear from Jack Griffin, BBA ‘19, Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Impact honoree, and 24-year-old leader of hunger relief startup FoodFinder, as he reveals what it’s really like to both become and be a full-time founder after graduation. Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur with just an idea or passion or a student founder with a well-established venture, you’re sure to walk away with something as Jack gets radically candid about the many highs and many lows of taking the plunge. From lessons learned on going against your parents’ expectations to making a profit while making a difference, no subject is off-limits so stop on by! Please RSVP: innovationseries@umich.edu.
