Launched in 2019 by a group of MBA students, the University of Michigan International Investment Fund (IIF) invests in and supports small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies, starting with India and expanding worldwide.The fund is an initiative of the William Davidson Institute and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

IIF is the first international student-led investment fund in the U.S. As a brand-new project, it represents an unparalleled experiential learning opportunity for fund members.
IIF sources deals by working alongside our partner organizations in India to identify high-potential businesses from early stages to established SMEs. Fund members conduct initial screenings and comprehensive due diligences using a specified invesment criteria.
We work with partners both on-the-ground in India and across the University of Michigan to source and invest in promising companies in emerging markets that meet our investment criteria.
