Avery is an MBA candidate at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

She is passionate about making healthcare more affordable and accessible in low-resource settings. Prior to Ross, Avery worked for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) managing portfolios of innovations that aimed to improve our ability to prevent, detect, and respond to Ebola, Zika, and other infectious disease outbreaks more effectively. She subsequently worked for the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) researching novel healthcare products and facilitating pricing deals with pharmaceutical and medical device companies to ensure expanded access to therapeutics, diagnostics, vaccines, and medical equipment in low- and middle-income countries.‬

Avery received her Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and holds a B.A. in public policy from Duke University. In her free time, Avery enjoys baking, hiking with her dogs, board games, and Duke basketball.
