Celia is a MBA/MS candidate at the University of Michigan School of Business and School for Environment at Sustainability, Sustainable Systems Track.
Prior to pursuing the Erb dual degree program, Celia spent 5 years in the CPG food industry as a food scientist at Conagra Brands in Omaha, NE. During this time, she formulated innovative product launches for multiple brands (including Angie's BOOMCHICKAPOP), performed technical deep dives into ingredient functionality, and led productivity, efficiency-focused projects. It was through each experience that Celia found her passion for combining food science, business frameworks, and systems thinking to tackle the food waste and supply chain challenges facing today's industry. As the climate continues to change and the world population increases, Celia believes the intersection of technology, supply chains, finance, and collaborative, cross-functional teams are critical to meaningful progress toward a more equitable, restorative, and sustainable food system.
Celia holds a B.S. in Food Science from Iowa State University, where she graduated with Honors and Summa Cum Laude. She is originally from a small town outside of Des Moines, IA.
