Glencoe Capital PE Dinner and the Alan Gelband PE Award by David Brophy, Director of the Office for the Study of Private Equity Finance

The 10th annual Glencoe Capital Private Equity Class Dinner, highlighted by the “bake-off” presentations for the Alan Gelband Private Equity Award and its $10,000 prize money, was held on March 19, 2014 in the Ross Colloquium.

Gelband, founder/CEO of Gelband Company, New York, NY and David Evans, founder, Chairman and CEO of Glencoe Capital, LLC, Chicago, IL are both UM alums and long-time active participants in Professor David Brophy’s UM Center for Venture Capital and Private Equity at the Ross School of Business. They mirror the active support of Ross and UM alums in fostering experiential learning in venture capital, private equity and investment banking through the Center.
