Organizers of the Michigan Growth Capital Symposium (MGCS) today issued the final call for applications of companies seeking early through mid-stage investments to pitch before an audience of national investors. The 36th annual MGCS event will be held jointly with the Coulter Investment Forum and is scheduled to take place May 16-17 at the Marriott Resort in Ypsilanti, Mich. The application deadline is Tuesday, March 7 and selected companies will be notified March 28.
MGCS is the premier Midwest venture event that connects national leaders in venture capital with emerging growth companies actively searching for partners and funding. This year MGCS will host the conference in conjunction with the Coulter Investment Forum. More than 600 investors, founders and tech transfer professionals are expected to attend with nearly 100 investment firms represented and more than 60 companies showcased.
Companies selected to present will come from a range of industries spanning the life sciences and technology market sectors. Each company will be slotted for a 12-minute presentation and provided table-top exhibit space during the two-day event. Companies will also receive presentation coaching as well as an analysis of its market sector potential provided by a third party firm contracted by MGCS. Presenting company applications will be reviewed by qualified venture capitalists, independent of one another, that serve on the committee to select the companies invited to present.
