Honorees to complete weeklong leadership program by KPMG LLP and Michigan Ross
KPMG LLP’s Private Markets Group and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business are pleased to announce the CEOs of high growth private companies who have been named QuantumShift 2017 Top Entrepreneurs in America.
In its second year, QuantumShift recognizes and assembles up to 40 founders, owners and CEOs of private, high growth U.S.-based companies to aid their development through an intensive, five-day learning, networking and collaboration program. These CEOs have an opportunity to learn from talented industry professionals and distinguished Ross School of Business faculty. Following completion of the program members of this 2017 class become part of the QuantumShift Fellows Network, an exclusive peer-to-peer network focused on problem solving, development and mentorship.
“Success is not a given for any private company so the fact that these business leaders have achieved such incredible growth is an accomplishment worthy of acknowledgement,” said Brian Hughes, National Leader, KPMG LLP’s Private Markets Group. “It’s vital to help foster this growth and cultivate an environment for these leaders to gain the tools and insights they need to further catalyze their growth.”
This year’s QuantumShift class represents dynamic, high growth sectors of the economy including technology, media and telecommunications, retail, healthcare and life sciences. As a group, these companies have a three year growth rate of 221 percent and have received nearly $1 billion in combined institutional funding.
“As startups mature and grow, their founders and CEOs face an entirely new set of challenges from the ones they conquered early on,” said Stewart Thornhill, executive director of the Zell Lurie Institute at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. “The business leaders participating in this year’s program have proved themselves able to tackle any obstacle put in front of them, and we hope that QuantumShift will give them the tools and inspiration they need to grow even bigger and better.”
