MBC Semi-Finalist

Bschool Travel LLC – Dhruv Dhawan and Dale Jarosz

How did you come up with your team name?

Our business is trying to build a brand that will be the premier provider for MBA travel. We also wanted a name that could be used well in social media channels and have a chance of virality.

Tell us briefly about your venture.

When we arrived at Ross, we took advantage of a number of travel opportunities around the world. While these experiences were fun and memorable, the logistics and service provided did not match business school student’s needs. We hope to provide more customized trips and unique travel experiences that match MBA student’s needs. Our venture is unique because we are addressing the needs of a niche market by making MBA student travel an easier a quicker process.

How has the MBC helped transform your approach to business strategy?

Long-term, we believe our itinerary builder will lower the burden of students trying to plan trips for their classmates. We will give these students back the precious time that they lack, and build unique itineraries that not only meet their vision, but take MBA student needs into account. We believe MBA student group travel will become a more rewarding experience for all parties involved.

What has been your biggest takeaway from this experience?

Running a business has been an extremely rewarding experience. We have learned how to adapt, adjust, and pivot our business on a moment’s notice, and that has been crucial to our early success so far.

If you win, what will you do immediately following the competition?

If we win the competition, we will take the $25k and build phase 1 of our itinerary builder. This will provide a better user experience to our customers while building itineraries online, and also provide our company with much needed operational efficiencies.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?

We are dedicated to this business and both co-founders are pursuing this business full-time after graduation in May 2019.
