Congratulations to Flipsi for its Second Place Win at the Greenlight Business Model Competition

March 28, 2014

Flipsi, a reusable drinking bottle that takes cleaning out of the equation through design, placed second in the Greenlight Business Model Competition held at the Hannah Community Center in Lansing Michigan this past Wednesday.

Flipsi, founded by Jeff Plott (MSE ’13) and Chris Plott (MSE ’03), was developed as a way for people to more easily clean the inside of water bottles by designing a product that can be “flipped” inside out. This year at the Michigan Business Challenge, Flipsi was announced the runner-up for the Pryor-Hale award and won the marketing award sponsored by Mark Petroff, earning them a total of $12,500 in funding.

At the GreenLight Business Model Competition, which brings together new student entrepreneurs and less than one-year-old startups from Michigan to compete, Flipsi earned $10,000 from its overall second place win and won an additional $1,000 for “Fastest Growth Potential.”
