Three teams represented U-M in intercollegiate business plan competitions in April

Congratulations to the U-M teams that have tested their mettle against students from other universities in intercollegiate business plan competitions this month:

Elegus TechnologiesJohn Hennessy (MsE ’14), Long Qian (MsE ’14) and Dan VanderLey (MsE ’14)—competed in and advanced to the Semi-Finals at the Rice Business Plan Competition, the world’s richest and largest student startup competition.

RainDance RecoveryC.W. Bourgeois (MsE ’15), Courtney Dansby (MsE ’15) and Jonathan Lilley (MsE ’15)—represented U-M at the New Venture Championship hosted by the University of Oregon.

Ross VCIC teamErick Goihman Benaim (MBA ’15), Yodit Beyene (MBA ’15), Jeremy Holzwarth (PhD BME ’14), Saurabh Kumar (MBA ’15) and Perry Teicher (JD/MBA ’15)—advanced to and competed in the Global Finals of VCIC, where they won the Entrepreneurs’ Choice Award.
