U-M Ross MBA graduate Sulav Singh, Class of 2014, was awarded first place in the 2023 ZLI Alumni Pitch Competition for his company, Vittas International. Beyond honing in on a winning elevator pitch, Singh was awarded a $2,500 prize and in-kind consulting with a ZLI Advisory Board Member.
Singh’s company, Vittas, offers tailored financial support using machine learning to provide affordable loans to Nigerian healthcare providers. Singh highlighted the problem that Vittas solves by changing the landscape of healthcare in Nigeria where affordable financing was once inaccessible to 91% of hospitals.
Vittas’ Vision: A world where everyone can access quality and affordable healthcare.
When affordable financial support is available, healthcare providers are able to stock medical equipment and medications, which improves the quality of care provided to patients. Vittas is also helping to reduce the number of Nigerians who are turned away from hospitals due to stockouts.
This award is a testament to Sulav’s entrepreneurial spirit and his commitment to making a positive impact on the Nigerian healthcare system. We are proud to have Sulav Singh as a U-M Ross Alumni and to see the success of his company. Congratulations to Sulav Singh and the entire Vittas team for changing the landscape of healthcare in our world for the better!
