Michael, a member of the 2009 class of Crain’s Detroit 20 in the 20s, has 5+ years of experience in the private investment world and, along with being on the Board of Directors of the Ann Arbor Angels and serving on the Screening Committee for the Michigan Angel Fund, currently serves on the Board of Advisors for InfoReady Corporation, an Ann-Arbor based software company. Michael also has extensive experience as a real estate investor, playing an integral role in the building and management of a portfolio that includes more than 60 single family homes in Ann Arbor and equity stake in 12+ multi-unit projects in and around the University of Michigan. Michael’s extensive connections and outside-the-box problem solving are an asset for any startup.
Michael holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
In 2008 Michael founded Next Generation Philanthropists (NGP), a giving circle with the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF) established to give young professionals in the Ann Arbor area the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their community. To date the group has given over $100,000 to local nonprofits. Michael currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Central Michigan Region of Old National Bank. He recently completed his second term as a member of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation’s grant distribution committee. Michael has previously served on the boards of the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, the Neutral Zone and the Arts Alliance.
